You've been called many things also you've given lots of Name,
They've pointed accusing fingers at you and they say you are to Blame..
They tell each new person the same story as they Came,
Whether you are a nice guy or a wonderful Dame..
Then those that don't really know you add fuel to the Flame,
So more and more your personality they soil and Defame..
They look at you and may even call you a Lame,
They don't think of what might happen at the end because some think its a Game..
Some say you are too fat and others say you are too Slim,
Others say, you are too tall and black while others say you are too Grim..
Oh my gosh! The truth is, you cannot satisfy everyone no matter how much you Claim,
Whether you tell a certain few or the whole world you Exclaim!
People will always look for a way to hurt you or find a way to Maim,
No matter how much you try, your good deed to Proclaim..
So just try and continue to be good and nice to them, just stay the Same,
Then a day will come, their tongues through your great works, you'll Tame..
Then they'll come to realize the mistakes they've made and then you they'll Acclaim,
At that time they'll be the one to pronounce your Fame..
They wouldn't even notice no more whether you are fleshy or Trim,
And at the end, you'll come to see its better not to retaliate, rather use good to achieve your Aim..

Just came to me like a Dream

...TAKEN FOR GRANTED (PART 2)...
The ones we care so much about are the ones who takes us for granted the Most,
They either keep us on hold or put us on Post..
They believe they can always come back to Us,
At their own time to ride us around like a mule or a Horse..
They take your vulnerability as their own Strength,
And they push, shove and stretch you to the greatest Length..
They have this notion that even if you get angry they have your Password,
They believe they know where to insert their imaginary batteries and plug their Cord..
They tell others about you and how wonderful you are Are,
How close you are to their heart and how you've both gone so Far..
But wait a minute and think about it for a While,
Dont go too far before you lose the essence of the thoughts, just go a lil Mile..
Ponder over this to see if you've been a victim of this Before,
Then make your stand because its your right and against this there's no Law..
For all of us, its really important we re-consider how we treat those who love and Care,
Lets think very well so as to know if we've been fair to them or we've relegated them to the Rear..
Imagine and put yourself in their shoe or Position,
Have you treated them well like they treat you or you've just given them a very small Portion?
Some may not complain because its not in their true nature to do That,
But one day they will realize what has been happening and then the refusal to help will Start..
Some may not even feel that anything is Wrong,
But believe me how we treat others will catch up with us on the long Run..
So its pretty important to be sensitive to the wants and needs of Others,
Treat them with love not like the last resort but more than Brothers..
This does not happen between just friends Alone,
But between couples, partners, office, realtionship and even in the family Zone..
Always remember the principle that states: "Do to others as you want them to do to You",
When you do, be rest assured that you'll truly be that person who deserves someone forever Nice and True..

..STAND OUT TO BE A STANDARD..
There are people in this world who dont want to see one Grow,
They find a way to kill one's shine, so that one will not Glow..
When they see you with a new idea, they try to discourage You,
They try to make you jittery, they give one the Flu..
They say all kindd of things to make one back Down,
They make one feel like one's head isn't worthy of a Crown..
Even within your household, some will tell you to go with the present Flow,
No need to groom something new that will move pretty Slow..
But sometimes you may wonder: Why are they doing all These?
Its because you are unique and you have keen eyes to See..
So don't ever give in to fear of people and Discouragement,
Don't give in to being like others, some sort of Entertainment..
Just look at some of our industries for example, we make no headway because we copy Others,
We dont encourage local ideas and talents to make us go Farther..
We want to copy Mr X's attires and Styles,
When we dont even know if he's living a life of Pretense and Lies..
We want to be seen in Miss/Mrs Y's dress Combination,
And dont even think or care if that will cut short our monthly or weekly Ration..
Don't be a follower of trend in anything because celebrities and people are doing It,
Be a man or woman of your own and do things because its right and its Fit..
Yes its hard, yet despite all odds i have held my horse by its Rein,
Come day, come night even when the sun shines or Rain..
Love who you are, don't be afraid of growing and who you will Become,
So that one day you will look back, tell your stories to others and still tell yourself "Well Done"..

...TO WHAT END??...
Many times some people dont understand the essence of what they are Doing,
And some cant see the purpose of where they are Going..
For example, a marriage is not about two people just saying I Do,
Not just about wearing the wedding band to save face or look Cool..
Its not just about what happens on the wedding Night,
Not just about raising babies and abandon your true responsibilities and Rights..
A relationship is not just about two people who believes in "lets see how it Goes",
And then opt out immediately when there are few setbacks or Lows..
Its not just about running around to acquire enough money and forget your partner's Needs,
Because before you know it the Love that you are nurturing will be choked by symbolic Weeds..
Its not just about showing off what your wedding day must look like with all pomp and Pagentry,
Rather one's aim should be with moderate arrangement and Decency..
What about friendship? Its not just about what one stands to Gain,
Its means staying close even if your friend is in Pain..
Its not about taking someone for granted because the person is generous and Nice,
Its not trying to play smart thinking the other person ain't Wise..
What about in the family? Its not about because you are the father your words should be overall Law,
Because underground you are only creating reasons for rebelliousness and War..
Its not just about being the eldest so no one should counter your Opinion,
Dont be the one they look up to for help but at the same time hurt them just like an Onion..
Its not just because you support and feed others that means they should honour you like a god,
Dont make yourself a deity all of a sudden or a feared Lord..
Its pretty important we ask ourselves the reasons why we get into, help people or do other Things,
Because when we do them for the right reasons, happiness, joy, peace and fulfilled long life it Brings..

Love a feeling that can bring two people Together,
A feeling that can bind them Forever..
Sometimes a Man and a Lady can look up at the same time and their eyes Meet,
The attraction is so great that they are moved to the edge of their Seat..
Their hearts racing and beating so Loud,
Fortunately the feeling is mutual and they become ever so Proud..
A great connection mounts from There,
And they are seen together Everywhere..
Then later at their alone times, they begin to wonder what attracted them to each Other,
They cant seem to phantom the true reasons and it just remain a Bother..
Nothing else stays in their mind but the other person's Face,
It could be the physique or confidence and it could be her qualities or the way she walks with Grace..
The distraction grows as the day passes By,
You just cant seem to tell the thoughts Goodbye..
You just smile even at the odd and unlikely Moments,
Like someone running an advert for Close up or Pepsodent..
You see the person in almost everything you Do,
Still how and why it happens you dont seem to have a Clue..
Its true many love stories may not all begin this Way,
But you'll agree its a force of Attraction and Distraction especially when the feeling takes your breath Away...

Most times we dont appreciate or value what we have until we lose It,
We dont see the importance of unity until things fall apart bit by Bit..
Many times we dont cherish peace of mind until we encounter Pain,
We dont value our heart until we lose our Brain..
We dont cherish the presence of the sun until we see cold or Snow,
That when we'll understand why it shines, thats when we'll Know..
Sometimes we dont appreciate the value of our parents until we lose Them,
Nor cherish the need of the attention of our children and see them as priceless Gem..
Many times we dont value our spouse until distance put us Apart,
Nor our partner in a relationship until one party walks away and all over we have to Start..
Many times we dont value true friends until we see them no More,
We realise their presence cannot be truly felt on social media nor can they be bought on the web Store..
Many times we dont realize the value of our Creator until we encounter Challenges,
Especially when we become rich or our level Changes..
We dont see Him as real until examinations is around the Corner,
Then we begin to remember He exist and bug Him like an unwanted Caller..
Hmmm, i know some of us come to realize some of these when they are Gone,
So before things fall apart, lets do all we can to appreciate, cherish and value what we have until we have None..

Once upon a time, fallinv in love use to mean everything to Me,
I couldn't sleep, i'll just cry and could not Breathe..
Once upon a time i believed that falling in love could make one Fly,
One would grow wings and like an eagle soar pretty High..
Once upon a time i thought love was worth all the Sacrifice,
It was more than the guy eating the onions while the girl eats the suya, more than she eating the chicken while he eats the chips and Fries..
Once upon a time i thought falling in love would make one forget all of ones Pain,
And it would make one strong enough to be able to play in the Rain..
Once upon a time i believed money could not buy Love,
But then i realized it can be purchased online and even some retail Store..
Once upon a time just meeting somebody to love was all that Matters,
All i could think about was the remedy that could make my heart Better..
Even once upon a time i could write about love in my Dream,
I would wake in the middle of the night to write as it flowed like a Stream..
Once upon a time falling in love became a center of all i could think About,
It made me high more than what any alcoholic drink could do nor a Stout..
But then something happened, sonething that cannot be explained nor Illustrated,
Something that makes one believe, that falling in love is just Overrated..

Some of us wish or wants to be someone's Hero,
We want to be the one and only just not the Zero..
We want to be that person who makes her Smile,
The one and only true lady who carries him across the Mile..
We wish to be that guy who bears all her Burden,
The one true person who changes everything all of a Sudden..
We wish to be the one she always speaks About,
The one true lady that he only preaches to everyone Aloud..
We want to be the guy who catches the Grenade,
The one who captures her heart with Serenade..
We want to be the one who takes care of her Bills,
The one who bears the pain of her Ills and Pills..
But sometimes life present another situation because it has another Plan,
It puts us in circumstances as hot as fire after falling from the boiling Pan..
It twists and turns our arm until its almost Broken,
And render our pocket dry from much to Token..
But please remember this, that you dont need to be a Hero to have the right Man or Woman,
Because the right Lady or Guy will bring out the Hero in you to the best they Can..

Times are hard, the situation is Tough,
Circumstances is tightening and a lot is pretty Rough..
Mankind is crying and groaning in Pain,
The sun is beyond hot even during the season of Rain..
Even our unborn children seem to have a feeling of whats happening out Here,
That their mothers have to push and struggle for hours with Tears..
Workers are told to go home for a little While,
Because things that are sweet have become to taste like Bile..
No light everywhere, still the bills are High,
And when you get to the filling station, its either no fuel, the price high, a long queue and you ask Why?
Yet many still believe a government will bring about change to all of These,
But the truth most of us ignore, forget or Miss..
No man can put an end to any of our problems or Troubles,
Because we ain't made for that purpose that's why the hardship is in Doubles..
Still there is hope and its really around the corner or just right Ahead,
Rather than give up now, just keep praying and believing Instead..
That time will come soon when shelter wont be affordable or cheap, but Free,
Our verandah facing the rising of the morning Sun or facing the endless Sea..
Food will be in abundance, no thorns and Thistles,
No HIV/AIDS, no Ebola, Lassa Fever, ailments, diseases not even pox or Measles..
No corruption, no fuel scarcity, no dollar rate rising and no Ageing,
No animosity, no enemity, no fighting nor war Raging..
No phobia for water, height, no allergies and no fear of the Dark,
You will be able to walk free from East to West and Back..
Babies will be born with ease, no pain, no cries, no Struggles,
Even Doctors and Nurses wont have any job to do anymore, no hearing aids and no Googles..
Life will be sweeter than the finest honey and the air we breathe will be so fresh and Pure,
And then our loved ones sleeping in death will come to life that is forever Sure..
Just remember that these struggles and pains are foreshadow of beautiful things to Come,
God says: Be strong, have true faith in me and i'll help you because soon will arrive greater Storm...

WHEN THE PAIN NEVER WANE

..WHEN THE PAIN NEVER WANE..
The world is full of wicked people and sadist like Cain,
Then added to that is the agony, sorrow and endless Pain..
Battling ailment for months or years and one's strength it Drains,
Excruciating sensations that makes you feel like you are losing your Brains..
Some people have battled sicknesses and been on meds for years, still no Gain,
No difference, no improvements, all the treatments in Vain..
There's no even money to purchase fruits, food or Grain,
Talkless of the endless tests and doctor's appointments that yet Remain..
No sleep at night, some just to keep while awake they iron or wash clothes that has no Stain,
So bad they feel that some victims of pain, their mind seem to have left the lane like a Train..
To some of these ones, it doesnt matter if the sun shines or it Rains,
Because the hope they've built over the years, they are tired to hold on to or Maintain..
Some due to heavy prescriptions, they've eaten dry a whole farm of unripe Plantain,
Just to return their lives to the original source or to the Main..
I think about these people, my heart bleeds and Wanes,
Some have spent their fortune travelling by sea and some by means of Airplanes..
The truth is: When they relay their predicaments, if i say i understand, its a lie because i dont know how to feel close to been Insane,
But all i can do is pray as my dear heart goes out to each of you, whether you are a John Doe or a Jane..

Its true our wants and need are Different,
Our likenesses and desires as a person is far from Perfect..
Because what is good for the goose, may not be good for the Gander,
And what gives one person a wow feeling, may not make another Wonder..
But something struck a cord within me after i stumbled on a series on television Yesterday,
I thought of it for so long, that the feeling remained and never go Away.
The characters and their accent were so Superficial,
Their faces and clothes were so Artificial..
And i began to ask myself: What will happen to the next Generation?
What will happen to the young boys and girls who are watching these, what will happen to the Population?
Some men dont see or choose women for their beautiful qualities Anymore,
And some ladies dont accept a man for his trueness, potentials, plans nor what he has in Store..
The funny thing is, you'll notice some young ladies who'll be asking and dying to know if their friend's fiancé is dark and Cute,
Whether he's tall and handsome when he wears a Suit..
They want to know if his salary is in six figures and drives a Range,
If he looks funny or his face is sweetly familiar or Strange..
Men sometimes do discuss part of These,
They mostly talk about their escapades and believe ladies are just like Bees..
That seek the thrill of men who possess the sweetest Nectar,
They see them as trophies, so they dump each as soon as they are done with Her..
The funniest part is most of both gender pretend to have an American or British Accent,
When truly some of them do not even know or have never seen a penny or Cent..
Its true the choice is all ours, but why not dump all the pretense and Charade,
Because the lives of the next generation of our boys and girls will be more than a Parade..

Many times when we look ourselves in the mirror, we never notice the defects we Possess,
Because we only see our beautiful features and forget there are some defects we cant see, due to no Access..
The truth is, no matter who we are, what we do or our status in Life,
We all have at least an invisible or clear defect like something been made with the stroke of a Knife..
So before we pick on others, about their looks, shortcomings or Weaknesses,
Let us remember, to our own imperfections too, there are a lot of eye Witnesses..
Its true some people may be  a handicap due to their loss of limbs, hearing or being a Dumb,
Some may have a huge swell on their body or on their face, there's a Lump..
Some may not be as pretty or beautiful as we think to our own very Eyes,
Or to our own best judgement, they may not be that Wise..
Some may not be tall, dark and handsome as we Expect,
That doesnt mean they dont deserve our Respect..
Some may not be as fair as we imagined one to Be,
But it doesnt mean they aren't as wonderful as We..
We may feel we have no defects on our body or Skin,
Also we are not ugly, fat, skinny nor too Lean..
But what about in character, way of attending to things or manner of Speech?
Or even the way we respond to other issues no matter Which?
Please remember, when we point a finger to others, the rest points back at Us,
Lets not fight a battle that will always make us fall at a Loss..
Check yourself before you call people names or blame others and work on what you may Lack,
So you wont become a pot just calling a kettle Black..

Its so depressing what the situation of the world Is,
Things are so hard, yet employers of labour still hold back people's salaries and Fees..
Everything has escalated yet the wages and salaries remain the Same,
They refuse to increase your dues, still when its time they tender excuses that are very Lame..
Its a different thing if they cant pay when they ought To,
Still some of them dont address you well, they display terrible Attitude..
They live large, change vehicles and clothes, still they tell their staffs theres no Money,
Sometimes they even lay off workers without Warning..
They invest people's sweat and blood in their own personal Businesses,
Take their surbodinates for granted and even trample on their patience and Weaknesses..
Some of them dont even think like a Father or Mother,
No fellow feeling, despite knowing fully well that you Suffer..
Its true the workers may not know the real cause why their salaries or wages is been slashed or withheld Sometimes,
Still making them feel appreciated will go a long way to clear their fears, doubts or help to read between the Lines..
Remember, you may be at the top today and tomorrow the table Turns,
You may think you have the world at your feet now and suddenly everything Burns..
So do everything that you can, dont be the cause of your own Curse,
Dont hurt others nor deny them of their dues, never make matters Worse..
Because if you think you are the boss and can do as you so Please,
Theres One the greatest up there, who all your suppose assets can take away or Cease..

There are some mistakes we make in Life,
Unnecessary ones we commit against our partner in a relationship, family, friend, husband or Wife..
Certain things we can avoid if we do all our Best,
And to God our heavenly father we leave the Rest..
We live in a world where things are getting tougher everyday and Night,
Even when the sun shines, we might just feel the heat and not see the Light..
We all live with and carry our different burdens everywhere we Go,
Each person's story is peculiar to them, some easy and fast to narrate, while some you must be Slow..
Sometimes many of us think and believe, possessing enough money is all that Matters,
We feel that as soon as we lay our hand on cash, it will fill the space of families, friends and other Quarters..
Yes its true money is for a protection and presents a lot of Wonders,
It can get you a car and a house, but cant buy you parents, sisters or Brothers..
It can buy you health insurance policy, but not peace of Mind,
Because genuine happiness, love, kindness and other beautiful qualities it cannot Find..
Sometimes because we are so focus on acquiring money, we forget the simple yet most wonderful words or just a hug someone Needs,
They may tell us how their day or week has been, but their inside call for companionship we refuse to listen and Heed..
They may have lost their job, been molested and cheated or even lost someone so dear to Death,
Maybe a very dear or close person has reached out to them because of pain and ill-Health..
Its true we all have our peculiar issues, but sometimes when we aren't careful we push people especially our spouse, partner, family or friend into the arms of temptation into a state of Emptiness,
We make their issues worse when we shove them aside or ignore their real needs and push them to the undying Edge of Nothingness...
